Chile, Let it Fall…
Every year, I look forward to the fall. There’s something nostalgic about driving down the street or walking through the park and watching the leaves transform from bright green to shades of gold, red and orange
I’ve always loved seeing the leaves change, not just because of the colors, but because of what it represents. One day while in college at Wilberforce University, it hit me.
The trees don’t fight the process. They don’t cling to what’s old. When the season shifts, they release. They let go. And in that, I find a reminder for my own life.
Sometimes, we hold on too tightly to things that no longer serve us…relationships, plans, old versions of ourselves and the list goes on…
But the fall season teaches us that letting go isn’t failure; it’s freedom. Dead things are supposed to fall away. And just like the leaves, there’s beauty in the process. Let it fall Apart! Because as things fall apart, you gain the opportunity to fall back into who you really are!
As the old falls away, fall in love again.
Fall in love with yourself. Fall in love with your dreams. Fall in love with your passions and gifts. Fall in love with new hobbies, new ideas, and new possibilities.
Don’t carry old weight into a new season. There’s no room for dead branches when new growth is near.
Fall also reminds us that the year is closing, and with it comes the energy of the 4th quarter. Just like in a game, this is the time to focus, to dig deep, and to give it your all.
Don’t drag regrets or expired versions of yourself into these last months. Let them die. So you can give. So you can grow. So you can rise. This is your season to fall into alignment. Fall into purpose. Fall into faith. And fall in love with your life again.
So here’s the challenge: Don’t just watch the leaves fall this season. Let it inspire you. Release what’s dead, embrace what’s alive, and carry that 4th quarter energy into everything you do!
Because the only way to rise again… is to let it fall.
